Both Hopkins and Pavlik have the same reach.

And Pavlik is 1 inch taller than Hopkins.

        B-Hop doesn't **** people up lol
The only thing that will trouble Calzaghe is his age and so far it hasn't proved a problem.
oh contraire...southpaws have it the worse vs. hopkins..

bernard aint beaten calz and won't ever. you can't even say hopkins has beaten anyone elite that is his size apart from tarver who is very good, but not elite. all the other names have been elites at smaller weights. joe may not have fought elites but atleast they were real super middle weights.

              the executioner...

Many of you folks need to chill discrediting B-Hop as if calzaghe is simply going to walk thru him in April. Calzaghe may have faced a few fighters who were slightly more physically gifted than bernard, but he's yet to face ANYONE as experienced or resourceful as hopkins. There's no fighter in the sport right now who executes a fight plan better than B-hop. I feel mayweather is best at making adjustments during a bout, but I dont even think he's the stragetist that hopkins has been over the years. I cant think of another fighter who's more capable of minimizing an opponent's strengths & capatalizing on his weaknesses than hopkins. You've got to realize, he's been watching joe c for a minute now..and Im sure he's seen something in his armor that he can exploit. A lot of you are just writing him off as though he's finished and washed up..ya'll buggin'. Tell me what fighter has ever "walked thru" B-hop..win or loss?? Dont expect it to start in April either. Calzaghe is a good fighter..but there are some intangibles that will have to be accounted for such as the move to 175, dealing w/ the rugged tactics of hopkins, as well as fighting outside his comfort zone overseas. Joe C better be focused on the task at hand and leave pavlik be for now.

Based on what I've seen, I'd have to say Joe out boxes Pavlik. Kelly had problems with Taylors movement and at times got careless charging after him. Calzaghe also has good hand speed. I don't think Joe could hurt Pavlik, and that would be Pavliks upside. He would have to walk him down intelligently and put combinations together to the body and head cutting off the ring. This is easier said then done and I see Calzaghe winning on points.

Especially because win/lose calzaghe still keeps his SMW title

in order for joe to "move down" he's gotta move up first lol and it could very we'll be a lose to hopkins, imo joe really doesnt have to move anywhere, taylor/pavlik/mirana/abrham/sturm will all be going to the 168 pound divsion soon enough because there big enough to do so
