Bernabe Concepcion Hurt By Recent Criticism

Bernabe Concepcion is clearly hurt by criticism over his performance against tough Juan Ruiz in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico last February 10 when he retained his North American Boxing Federation super bantamweight title with a close but unanimous decision. [details]

      Bernabe Concepcion

Bernabe VS Ruiz. I applaud the judges and the boxing officials of Mexico for the decision. The fight was very close. The difference is Bernabe did not retaliate, inspite of the all the dirty tricks commited by Ruiz. I think that was the reason the judges gave that decision to Bernabe. I don't blame Ruiz for the tricks but his corner for encouraging him.

One just had to go to Philboxing.com's forum and click the threadstarter's names to find out why they're smearing Concepcion. Try one of those who replied here. Obviously a fan of a rival boxer and boxing gym.

Concepcion has captured the hearts of a lot of fans because of his guts, attitude and winning ways http://kamaongllave.wordpress.com/ - a fansite for Concepcion is a testament to that. So it is quite unfair for Mr. Nathanielsz, who I respect very much, to say that the criticisms came from "fans"...if he meant "fans" of Bernabe Concepcion's rival boxer, I'd accept that...but they are more "detractors" than "fans".

"Top Ran promoter Bob Arum who staged the fights also praised Concepcion saying he is a “terrific fighter and the Mexicans love him.”

Arum is full of ****.... Is that why the Mexican audience were booing his ass the whole time?? They were all yelling out RUIZ! RUIZ! and they didnt even know who the **** he was, just that he was Mexican LOL...
