I laught at Calzaghes comments. Kesslere v. Pavlik would be interesting but i would favor Calzaghe over Pavlik. But let Pavlik do what Calzaghe did and wait and wait on fighters to get old and or to fight someone really dangerous(American side) and Pavlik would beat Calzaghe. Calzaghe should be humble cause Pavlik shows his opponets that respect.

I don't think Pavlik should fight Calzaghe nothing to prove as Pavlik is a middleweight this fight will only prove Calzaghes worth. Pavlik needs to go back down to his weight and fight there and defend his title, he don't need Calzaghe, Calzaghe needs him.

Calzaghe waiting for fighters to get old?

I fail to understand how Lacy and Kessler were old? And Hopkins beat Winky, who many of you rate in top 10 P4P still, so thats no excuse.

Give Calzaghe the credit he deserves. And that is, he beats anyone in the MW,SMW and LHW divisions.

What a great fight that would be. Although I think Calzaghe would ultimately win, I think Pavlik is the best fighter he (Calzaghe) could face before he retires.

Calzaghe is also right that Pavlik future lies at 168. He's never going to get a fight with Abrahams or Sturm - so who else is out there at 160?

I actually disagree with you on that.

Calzaghe says he could be effective at 168. Not champion, not dominate.

I think Pavlik would struggle to break into the top 3 in SMW. I don't think he would get a fight with the top 3 other than Kessler. And i think he would loose to Kessler.

I think he dominates MW. Though.

Pavlik came in fight night at 169 in this fight, there's no reason he should try and fight guys weighing 178-180 at SMW right now. Kelly's 25, just won his first titles, which he hasn't even had a chance to defend yet. I say let him enjoy being a champ before getting in the water with bigger, more experienced fighters at this point.

What i tried to say is he didn't make a move on the best American fighters till Calzaghe perfected his style. And Kessler would be considered young as Lacy. But I did have Lacy beating Calzaghe but in a tough fight and we know how that went. Calzaghe should fight Taylor im sure Taylor would fight him. And i'd like to see it happen in America.

Fighting in America is why Ricky Hatton surpasses Calzaghe. If Hatton did what Calzaghe did his whole career, he too would still be undefeated.

Calzaghe would make Pavlik look like Jeff Lacy

No reason what so ever for Pavlik to go to Super Middlweight none at all!

Pavlik is a middleweight. A young one at that. Once he dominates for years then maybe he should move on up.

Kessler is a normal fighter with good technique but not great. Power but nothing special. Kessler v. Pavlik i'd call it an even fight.

calzaghe is right about Kessler beating Pavlik. I think Pavlik has a better shot at beating Calzaghe than he does kessler.

Calzaghe would lose to Taylor & Pavlik...why? because he's not going to be the same after April 19... win or lose, he'll be shot after fighting Hopkins...and southpaws get it the worse...fighting bernard is hazardous..
