Last Night's Fight
I gave Pavlik the 12th round which made it 114-114 on my card. I thought Jermain lost round 1, lost the 7th, and only won the 10th after that. So... 6 rounds to 6...
I know Pavlik was far more activem but I don't get some of those scores. Even the rounds Pavlik won I was giving him based on activity. I though Jermain was far more effective in landing meaningful blows. I mean, I scored the fight a draw on the points system, but I have a hard team believing Pavlik did anything really effective, and have a hard time saying he "won" the fight, much less by some of the scores that were registered.
But what do I know.... 114 - 114. No need to do it again.
Taylor is weird, I am not a particularly big fan of his, but at the end of the day, the guy beat Bernard Hopkins twice, beat Winky Wright, beat Corey Spinks ( a good little fighter) and in my opinion was beating Pavlik when he got legitamtely knocked out. He gets no love. Where does he go from here? He doesnt look like he will have much power at Super Middleweight, and he cant seem to make Middleweight anymore. Weird position.Comment
