Jermain still has a bright future...

Jermain fought a good fight tonight. He threw some great counterpunches but wasnt active enough to win. Pavlik definatley won the last three rounds. Some fighters just have another fighters number. Anyone who fights Kelly is going have to deal with how active he is and either knock him out or outbox him at a similar pace. Jermain may have landed a few more power punches and I agree with the 116-113 and 115-113, the 117-111 seemed a bit lopsided. I understand the arguments of "how can you feel sorry for a millionare etc.", but Jermain layed it out on the table and fought a good fight, he just wasn't busy enough. I look forward to him fighting again and winning even though he's not my favorite fighter. He also was humble after the fight which is always admirable.

Yeah he has a chance to really have a great career still. Many very good fighters have losses and still make it. Some guys just have a fighters number. No shame in that. Whats bad about alot of people on these boards is that they have to have it all one way or the other. If Taylor loses then he was a hyped up fighter who only gets gifts from the judges and he was "exposed" and he is finished. If Pavlik lost people would have said "Jermain didnt take him seriously the first time and it shows that Pavlik is a **** fighter and all hype." People just love to **** talk on the internet.

Taylor should get back to the winning combination that worked for him at middleweight. Fight smaller guys who can't punch, get out boxxed and win close decisions. I've been saying the same thing since Taylor fought Hopkins. " HE's a HBO media creation". Taylor is a good fighter there is no doubt but he's not a great fighter. As middleweight champion he was protected, fighting smaller guys and either gaining only a draw or contraversal decisions. I always said there was a reason why HBO and his handlers avoided real world class middleweights when he was champion. Some will say it was because of easy money although it never turned out to be easy. Taylor was backed into a corner with Pavlik after Pavlik knocked out Miranda who Taylor avoided. Even with Pavlik the scoring fix once again was in, if Pavlik hadn't knocked Taylor out he would have lost on the scorecards no doubt. In this fight the scoring was once again biased but this time against Taylor. Now Taylor did lose this fight clearly , just not by 117-111. Pavlik clearly won this fight but why can't judges just score fights fairly??? Hey Lets see Taylor fight Miranda at 168, I'd pay to see that

I felt sorry for JT too, since he's an honest, hardworking kid who earned everything he got. He's also unafraid, he'lll take on any challenge.

BUT, at 168 there are too many guys who are better than him. He may snatch a paper title if he's given real careful matchmaking and generous judging. BUt he'll have enough trouble making the top five of that class. So long as Kessler is around, Taylor is not going to be champ there.

Still I'd pay to see him fight out of respect for his accomplishments at 160
