Would not have mattered in the result. Not "would not have been considered in the scoring." SO, yes even if you gave better defense to Taylor, Pavlik still has the edge overall and deserved a close unanimous nod. If the fight was judged on pure athletic ability, Taylor would win, buts its not. He may be a world class athlete but not a fighter, not if he can lose to a skinny, hard working white boy.Comment

yeah i remember reading something about bars having to pay like 2000 to watch a PPV fight. im surprised that some place did that.
i just watch from home.. i dont think theres any place around me that would televise the fightComment

I should also add that ESPN.com scored it 114-114. This was Dan Rafael's opinion, among others. Scoring points with weak-hand jabs can win fights, apparently, if you appear to be the "aggressor," but Taylor was certainly the cleaner, quicker, more effective boxer.Comment

does anybody dare to talk about doug tucker's (referee: mijares-castillo) scorecard? boy, some referee must be dreaming during the fight! why should the boxing body tolerate the ignorance of some judges?? why are they allowed to referee in this sport? referee like tucker should find his place somewhere. maybe in WWE. poor officiating really hurt boxing.Comment
