    Why Tyson is overrated....

It's posts/threads that mention him in the same breath as Ali... and talk of Tyson's handspeed like it was comparable to Ali...

How about Lennox Lewis vs Ali... that's a more realistic matchup... Lennox would stand a far better chance to defeat Ali then Tyson ever could... I admit Tyson was exciting and he was a great heavyweight but he wasn't even the second best of his time... holyfield and lewis were way better... Tyson's reign only lasted 2 years... if a fighter's reign only lasted 2 years to begin with then you weren't that great b/c as soon as somebody exposed you... you were done... and that's not a mark of a true champion... Ali was a champion in like 3 different generations...

i do not think tyson was over rated but i think that he is over rated now. i do think tyson would stand a chance against ali buecause if ali tried to let tyson wear himself out like the foreman fight i think ali would get KO. tyson was/is a very powerful puncher like everyone knows he is and he deserves to be with the greats because he is one of them.

tyson in his prime 1986-1990 could beat any heavyweight in the history of the sport, that is how good he was at his best, granite chin, lightning fast hands, and more powerful than any fighter in history, look at his highlight tapes

that's what they were-highlight tapes. People need to watch his whole fights against top opponents-many times he looked far from invincible (Tucker, Bruno, Smith, Tillis, Ruddock, the beginning of the Thomas fight etc.) An excellent fighter in his prime but far from the best and def. could not beat any HW in history.

Tyson was the 2nd best after Ali. But only the Ali who fought before going to jail- or what ever the hell he did.Ali who fought against Fraizer would get beat by Tyson one way or another.

Muhammad Ali is so overrated it's ridiculous. Yes he was the greatest of his time and probably accomplished more than any hw in history but to make it like he is unbeatable against any hw of any era is just ******. I think Lennox Lewis would soundly beat Ali and I'd give Tyson a pretty good shot too. Larry Holmes would've given Ali trouble ANY time they fought.

First of all, i don't think Ali is the greatest, one of the all time greats for sure, but Lennox Lewis beat Ali. NO ****ING WAY! NO ****ING WAY! NO ****ING WAY! And not iron mike either, Ali had more chin and heart then both those two put together
