Yea I know, I was saying, how can he not be? He just completely dominated Lyak, it was a pretty damn good performance by him.

Valuev looks like he's improved a bit. He's throwing more punches, at least in the early rounds, and his snaps he jab a little better. He also is starting to throw more combinations and uppercuts...

But the biggest thing Valuev lacks, is the killer instinct to go out there, punish and knockout his opponent..

I agree, he could have really capitalized at some points in the fight and finished it. He has a lot of power in his punches, he's just not a great finisher.

True, and it doesn't make sense...this was his last chance to reach the top as a heavyweight, and he comes 10-15 pounds overweight and doesn't give a big effort? I find this difficult to understand.

Valuev has improved the accuracy of his punches as well as ring movement. I think hiring the new trainer Zimin has helped Valuev considerably.
