I don't see how the Roy KO against Tarver was too early. Even when he got up, he wobbled all the way across the ring so Smoger had no choice but to stop the fight. The Taylor fight was not an early stoppage either. When Jermain went down, I think Smoger said that Jermain asked him where he was at.

O, my bad bro! Well, it has been 6 months since the fight between Pavlik-Taylor happened so I think that is a good amount of time. Roy Jones came back less than 4 months later to fight Glen Johnson. Plus, you throw in Roy was already past his prime to and that doesn't help the matter out.

I thought it was funny that after the fight, Taylor said Pavlik was not the hardest puncher that he'd been in with. But no, I don't think Taylor's chin is that bad, he took a lot of hard shots from Kelly before he finally went down.

It's only been 4 1/2 months since the first fight though, not 6.
