Ricky Hatton-Juan Lazcano For May 24?

According to the Manchester Evening News, Juan Lazcano (37-4, 27KOs) is likely to become the comeback opponent for Ricky Hatton at the City of Manchester Stadium on May 24. Lazcano has only lost twice since 98. He's coming off a close decision loss to Vivian Harris, which took place over a year ago, and he lost by decision to Jose Luis Castillo in 2004. [details]

That'll do me for a tune up fight, better than the other opponent they named, the IBO challenger.

Lazcano would be a good tune up fight for Hatton. Somebody that will come to fight, but not pose to much of a threat. Plus Juan will be somebody that's a perfect style for Hatton.

Lazcano is no stiff. He also is no Mayweather and wont be faster that nte Hitman. Hatton will have to be sharp to handle him though.

I would be surprised if he didnt eventually KO the game Juan Lazcano. Going be a great fight while it lasts. Good on Hatton for fighting a real fighter and not some confidence boosting guy.

Never seen Lazcano, wasn't Hatton mean't to fight him before instead of Collazo.

What type of fighter is he? I'm assuming he is a come forward fighter, has he got decent pop?

good choice. this guy is atleast kinda a name that people will have heard.

as much of a fan as i am of ricky, i really want him to fight malliini or witter. he needs to shut up witter and then with the wbc he should go for malli's ibf or fight torres.

if he fights oscar (which i doubt) then i will kinda enjoy it. it would be a good match up but hatton will need to get really close so that he doesnt get jabbed to death.

witter, well it would be an award fight for him, yet i am certain that witter will not be able to keep hatton off him.

malli, i feel will lose. it would be a good fight though.

Better than Isaac Hlatshwayo or whatever his name was.

Lazcano will give Ricky a good workout if not more, he was in FN3 too.
