holmes.

i'd pick the ali of his first title reign to beat a prime holmes, or maybe even an early 70s ali to win, but not by 1975.

I think Prime Holmes beat any version of Ali, His jab was a thing of beauty, a pleasure to watch him. He had a damn good chin too but so did Ali. Holmes was the only guy in HW History I think would have beaten Ali as in his Prime he was the complete package.

Whats so ******ed about it? Some people here think the klitschko brothers would beat Ali, now thats ******ed. Ali is alltime favourite but If there is anyone he couldn't beat it has to be Holmes based on their styles. Ali relied on his jab, now tell me who has a better jab Larry Holmes or Ali? Also no shame is losing to Holmes as Ali is the #1 Heavyweight of all time but Holmes is also atleast a top 5 HW of all time, I have him at 3 behind Ali and Louis.

I think prime Ali wins but i agree with Parody Holmes has the best chance along with Joe Louis in beating Ali and might possibly do it. Tyson would give Ali a lot of Trouble for the first 6 round if Ali and Tyson fought but his heart and less aggressive style in latter stages of fights would convince me that a Prime Ali, Louis and Holmes all beat Tyson. Holmes beats 33 year old Ali but loses to a 23 year old Ali

Would've been a very close fight. Holmes' style would give Ali a lot of trouble, especially an aging Ali. I'd give the edge to the '78 Holmes to win a close decision against the '75 Ali that fought Frazier, but the '74 Ali who beat Foreman beats a '78 Holmes.
