Allan Green Hunting For a Brave Soul

Details are sparse at the moment, but it appears the February 29 ESPN main event between Allan "Sweetness" Green and Samuel Miller is off. The bout was scheduled to take place at the Paragon Casino & Resort in Marksville, Louisiana. [details]

    Thank god.

Allan didn't need the Samuel Miller fight at all. I understand a payday is nice but it should never have been made.

Sweetness might be my favorite active fighter right now and I would love to see him in their with top-notch competition. And there isn't anyone from 168 on down that I can't picture him beating.

The downside is that he's going to likely face a much lesser caliber fighter now than he would have in Samuel Miller. Miller was no world beater, but he has never been stopped and has an impressive KO percentage which could have possibly tested Green.

That said, he accumulated most of his record in Colombia.

Wouldn't mind seeing a Miranda-Green rematch down the road. I'd pick Green to avenge the loss, but I doubt they'll fight any time soon.

i think Green would be an excellent choice for Kessler. Decently established US fighter. Has had a couple of bouts on TV since his destruction by Miranda.

Allen Green seems to be a mainstay on ESPN. He needs a decent kind of victory to get him another shot against a champ of true contender.

Allan Green is oerrated badly, but I still like the guy. He excretes confidence, which is admirable.
