      Damn near every Larry Holmes fight was a jab clinic. Larry Holmes had one of the best jabs in the business.

        That's the same response I was going to give it's so true with Holmes but it's also true of so so many boxers, the jab is the most basic punch in boxing probably the most important as well.

              A lot of boxers have good jabs but Larry Holmes had a great jab. There is a difference between a good jab and a great jab. A big difference IMO.

              Most definitely the jab is the most important punch in boxing. That is why so many fighters without a decent jab find themselves in tougher fights than it had to be if they had a respectable jab.

                Larry Holmes used a hell of a jab to work over Tex Cobb. He had Cobb at the end of that jab all night.
