    Wilford Scypion

Here's something that was posted at *********.com....
    ************************************************** ********
Undefeated 28-year-old super welterweight Wilford Scypion Jr. (3-0, 3 KOs), the son of 80s TV favorite and former world title challenger Wilford Scypion, will be in the ring twice this month. He is scheduled for the February 23 "Johnson vs. Gonzalez" card at the Civic Center in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and then on February 29 for the ESPN2 broadcast from the Paragon Casino Resort in Marksville, Louisiana. The power-punching Scypion had an impressive 28 knockouts in his 34-fight amateur career (32-2, 28 KOs).
    ************************************************** *******

If he's anything like his dad, he's going to be something else!

Does anyone have any updates on how Wilford Sr is doing nowadays? Him, Curtis Parker, Frank Fletcher, Dwight Davison, Alex Ramos, Juan Roldan, etc helped make the 1980's special for the middleweight division.

It's a shame that Dwight and Frank never fought, in addition, that Dwight never got that title shot.

Was looking around & just saw this.

I read somewhere that Wilfred Scypion SR is suffering from the effects of his boxing career. I don't think he's as bad as Wilfred Benitez or Bobby Chacon, but still, it's still sad when these great warriors suffer later in life from too many head shots.
