Same weight class for whole career

What top name fighters stayed in the same weight class their entire career? Marvin Hagler was a middleweight for everyone of his 67 fights. Anyone else (besides heavyweights, obviously)?

Kostya Tzu did and it hurt him IMO. I believe it hurt him physically and in terms of his legacy.

when he was at junior welter, he was also highly ranked in the lightweight rankings.

way later in his career he fought well above 140.

Joe Calzaghe but it seems he is going up a weight now.

** Other than his heavily padded out, highheeled heavyweight debut against Jack Johnson, Stanley Ketchel appears to have been a natural middleweight on the order of Hagler.

Well that's true, but the thing about fighters like Ketchell and Salvador Sanchez is that they died in their primes. We can't know if they would have held their weight into their 30's.

BTW, I really love the Little Red Lopez avatar. He's my all time favorite fighter. If he were around now HBO would make him a legend like they did Artuto Gatti.

Sanchez fought for the Mexican bantamweight title earlier in his career before he became a featherweight.

Sanchez looked like had the frame and style and skillset to be successful at the higher weights.
