      he's hilarious.

The word Joke gets thrown around on these forums regarding certain boxers whom never are jokes usually or funny.

Ottke is hilarious. You have to admire how a man so average through blatant judge bribery, and referee nobbling has remained unbeaten. It is genius. The moment of disbelief on the faces of everyone come decision time is priceless, when you have seen a man beatdown for 12 rounds and emerge victorious. Everytime you were thinking they can't give it to him this time. Alas they did.

The guy is only returning because what with his huge outlay on various refs and Judges, he made about $8 from his boxing career.

Get behind Ottke. A token of what can be achieved through manipulation.

because Ottke is great champ, he dominated his division and no one had a chance of beating him.

He's one of those guys who have been protected due to the potential financial losses to his country's boxing industry. He was East German so he pulled in a massive number of fans from his amatuer days. He was an above average boxer, but not a true world champion. If you want to see a truly cheating performance by a referee (as well as the judges) watch the Ottke Reid fight. SOme of the Ottke posts on You tube with 'highlights' of his best bits in 12 round fights last no more than a minute, a lot of the time they have to loop them. Any boxing fan worth his salt should remember his name so they can ridicule it if someone tries to place him in a 'best ever' debate. He has at least six fights where the decision could or should have gone the other way, but the Reid one is the most outrageous

Every morning before he goes to sleep the boogeyman looks under his bed for Sven Ottke.

And who can blame him after the Boogeyman lost a contentious 12 round unanimous decision to Ottke in Dortmund, Germany.
