Pavlik has a lot of TKOs, i think he scores a lot of TKO's with accumulation rather than one punch power. I'd give the edge to Kessler in one punch power but Pavlik is probably a better finisher.

I'll go with Kessler, Pavlik hasn't fought at 168 yet.

Agreed. I think it's close but I gave it to Kessler.

Kessler couldn't put down the Slapper who has been put down by weaker punchers. Pavlik is the Middweight George Foreman. He has 1 punch power but he's not accurate enough to be a KO artist. So he must wear them down.

            So...

It would be nice if people didn't make outlandishly ridiculous claims about Kelly Pavlik for a while.

You know for a fact that Pavlik hit Taylor's chin with his power more than once in that fight, and you know damn well that Taylor took it.

Pavlik's power is great, but for ****'S sake! Everyone is making him out to be someone who makes Julian Jackson look like Sven Ottke.

This is probably the most power Pavlik has shown in a fight.

Kessler. The second KO in this highlight is probably Kessler's best.

We haven't seen Pavlik at 168 just yet, he could be stronger or he could be weaker but at 160 Pavlik is more of a puncher than Kessler, he pushes for the KO's (32 wins, 29 KO's), Kessler just lets them come (39 wins, 29 KO's).

Pavlik does his best work with right hands and uppercuts when his opponent is facing the ropes, Pavlik is very good at pressuring and cutting off the ring.
Kessler's counter rights and uppercuts are his best punches.

Taylor said Pavlik wasn't the hardest puncher he had ever faced but the most consistent, Pavlik just kept coming. It's possible that Kessler has more one punch KO power.

Pavlik vs Kessler would be a great fight.

Who actually has, I mean in the context of they put him on the canvas and kept him there???? One of the two people to do it, Byron Mitchell (72% KO rate) said it was the bext punch he'd ever thrown and Joe was up before the count of three and knocked him the **** out!!!

As to the question in hand, its difficult to say as Pavlik has not carried that sort of weight, I'd say Kessler but reserve judgment til after his fight at 166 with Taylor

I also think it is quite misleading to judge Pavlik's power at 168 from his fight with Taylor.

Haven't you noticed that a fighter's power seems to grow by like 1000% when he fights someone coming up from the weight class below?

Mayweather was known as someone who couldn't knock anyone out, but did so against Ricky Hatton, because Hatton is a 140 pounder.
