    Are "the shakes" permanent?

NO THIS ISN'T A MUHAMMAD ALI THREAD LOLOLOLOLOLOL

In seriousness, I have had a punching bag for a while, but I just got it hung up within the last few days. Now that I have been doing some sustained hitting, and hard enough where it hurts my hands, I have noticed that my hands shake when I try to keep them stationary.

I have been told that this is just a sign that my muscles are very tired, because they are not used to the workload that I am putting on them.

After the first day, they were Michael J. Fox bad, but now they are quite a bit less. Hopefully that means that it is not a permanent symptom.

    Does anyone know?

P.S. Please excuse the two very un-PC jokes in this opening post.

DW421, I would say that's a little bit odd, my man.

I've heard of extreme soreness and lack of function/felixibilty, but not so much with the shaking stuff. Have you been doing anything else out of the ordinary besides that?

                Nothing else besides that...

And it's not like parkinson's shakes where you can't control it.

Really and truly, when I try to outstretch my fingers and keep them still, the pinkies (in particular) shake a little bit.

However, when people run or do something with a leg muscle that they aren't used to doing for a lot longer than they have ever done it before... their muscle twitches a little bit. I've had that happen before with some of my leg muscles.

Damn, I was hoping someone else had heard of something like this.

sounds like you aren't hitting the bag properly and are punching it when it is coming towards you and not away..
another thing.. are you wearing hand wraps and what type of gloves are you using?
I hope your not doing it bare knuckle because then your an idiot.
