        when was Bernards prime?

I'd take Kessler to beat Joe in a few years. Kesslers prime is not now I don't think. 'Nard has never blown my socks off. He is a fierce competitor, whose main ability is to be wiley and clever enough to make fights scrappy, and make the other fight abandoned his gameplan. Essentially he is a spoiler. I don't like him that much as a fighter though I admire what he has achieved, but I will pick alot of guys to beat him, because he just isn't my type. I always pick against him!, to be honest.

That said I think Joe and Kessler are better fighters. With more outstanding attributes.

            when was Bernards prime?
95-04, Hopkins entered his prime two years after his loss to RJJ. I noticed Hopkins started slipping after his fight with Howard Eastmen, later that year he lost to Jermain Taylor twice.

Maybe better polls would be Kessler/DLH or Kessler/Trinidad.

Bernard Hopkins. Too polished and smart for Kessler. Its competitive at super middleweight but at 160 Hopkins would whoop his ass. We haven't seen the best of Kessler yet. He looked good against fighters who stood right in front of him.

Prime for prime, Hopkins wins by decision.
