That's a lie man. Everyone he has fought was favored to beat him. Don't even make me bump threads like "100 reasons why Oscar will beat Floyd analysed by specialists" and "Hatton will do what Castillo couldnt and get inside and demolish him". Baldy was a RING champion when he fought Floyd and was hugely favored to win by TKO.

You're making a joke, right? Floyd hasn't been an underdog even once in his entire career.

Word. But remember most people come to see Floyd get beat, not to see him make history as he has been. So as long as he stays undefeated he will have sellouts and a crowd of fans and haters wanting to see him win and lose.
On a side note it was pretty sad seeing the yellow smiles on merchant and the other color commentators while the american anthem was being booed. They didn't protest against it. On that night i think Mayweather was ashamed of being American. He said he was representing his country on that fight, still some American kids came here to the forums saying they were for Hatton all the way and Mayweather "only represents himself" which is a lie.

I would think he was probably an underdog to Genaro Hernandez, but that is just me.

He was the favorite against Corrales though, barely.

Anyways, it is true that Baldomir's slow ass was perfect for Floyd to look ridiculously good against. A Miguel Cotto would definately look better against the way Floyd fought against Baldomir than Baldomir himself did.

Theres only 1 Mayweather! Hernandez, Diego, Castillo twice, Gatti, Mitchell, Judah, Hatton & soon Oscar twice. The mans resume speaks for itself.

Every fighter they match him up against they do it like they are trying to do with Cotto now. Saying Cotto can beat him, he wont withstand this or that about this or that fight. When the fight gets close some people shift a bit but the trend remains.. After the fights all his opponents are almost immediatly promoted to ****. Where are all the Oscar fans? Noone cares about Oscar nomore it seems. All the Hatton fans? They were duzens, now reduced to some 2 or 3 brits. They are like ticks, holding on to who's balls are hotter.

And his opposition is mainly chosen on the basis of "who can beat Floyd" with rare exceptions like the champions he has beat. The man has been a champion his whole career cept for 8 months! Noone gives him much credit for that though.

So you think just because there's threads on boxingscene of people who thought Floyd would lose, that, that makes him an underdog?

Mayweather will only lose when he gets too old for boxing and doesn't hang them when it's time. The man is really good, noone today compares. Maybe prime Jones but i was too young to really apreciate Jones, it's a blessing to see Mayweather. Hope he fights again at that level.

One thing I always follow carefully is boxing odds. Hernandez opened as the favorite but Floyd was favored by fight time. The only two other fights where he may have been less than 2-1 were Corrales and DLH, but he definitely was the betting favorite in both fights.

Using Baldomir to measure Mayweather's greatness is only a little less absurd than using Vinnie Pazienza to measure Roy Jones, or Golden Johnson to Margarito.

But... that's the best fighter he has beaten!

EDIT: Always bolding your F'ing posts. I had the Golden Johnson to Margarito part bolded.
