    Jaw Pain

I sparred for my first time on saturday and took a couple good shots to the head. Now 2 days later my jaw is in alot of pain. I can barely even chew my food. Is this normal? I can move it fully it just hurts when I bite down.

      You have a **** chin.

No really, did you have a gumshield and headguard on? It's usual anyway so don't let it bother you.

That's normal. You probably got hit on the chin with a good hook or something. I got brained by a hook from a short super heavy at my gym and my jaw hurt for a month. I hurt him for that!

Make sure your wear a mouthguard and try and bite down on it. The pain you recieved is from getting hit with a punch with your mouth open most likely...been their

yes, gotta keep that mouth shut at all times.

btw, what kind of mouthguard did you use?

in sports like this.... a custom mouthguard is recommended. i use the one from Gladiator (www.customguards.com)
