Alfredo Angulo is the next big thing at 154 pounds. "El Perro", who fights out of Coachella, Cali by way of Mexicali, Mexico is currently 12 & 0 with 9 brutal KO's. 10 to 15 fights from now, he'll be taking over the division.

Naw I think he will get exposed by a boxer. He is too wild and doesnt have great technique. Its easy to look good against a bum but what happens when someone will not let him use his game plan and is forced to fight his opponents fight? These are all questions you need to ask before you label someone the next big thing. Can he fight going backwards? Can he fight when he is fighting defensively? Can he box when he has to? Does he have the stamina? 12-0 with 9KO's just shows me that he hasn't gone the distance and will have to at least 8 rounds before he is labeled the next big thing. What will happen when he gets hit flush? Can he brawler with a brawler? What will happen when he cant set his feet to punch like PW? What will happen when the other fighter uses angles and doesnt stay in front of him? Just a few quick questions you have to ask if he is the next big thing, because boxing people will lead you to think that he is, then he gets exposed like PW and Cintron (vs Margs).Comment

His defense seems a little suspect at this point, but most young fighters are suspect in that category. He seems to have a good chin, and his offense is explosive. I would like to see him fight James Kirkland or Joel Julio. Both fights would be great IMO.Comment

Good **** bro, I love his compact stance and activity level. He varies his punches beautifully. He wasn't leaving himself open either, all his punches leave him in position to roll and slip.
154 is an open division right now, and I see why people are mentioning this guy along with Vanes as the top prospects.Comment
