I dont hear Ricardo Lopez much amongst boxing lovers. Atleast not as much as I want to hear of him. How good was he really? I think he was a master. Perhaps one of the greatest P4P of all time. Does anyone else think he deserves this much credit? He did retire with a pretty impressive undefeated record, beating lots of great fighters along the way. Thoughts??

Ricardo Lopez is pretty close to being the best pure boxer with power that I've seen.
Watching prime Lopez is seeing a true master at work.
People shouldn't bother writing instructional books for boxing - just get them to watch some Lopez fights, & point out exactly what he is doing.
Everything picture perfect - always on balance, instantly back in guard after every punch is thrown, everything off the jab, feints to open the opponents guard, vary the punches, vary the position from where to strike, lateral movement...
Damn, that guy was good.
Gets a lot more respect in Asia & Mexico than the US & Europe, where he is regarded ats one of the true ATG's.Comment
