legs77 - the ONLY enigma out there that has a possibility to beat the baby bull is maybe khan in 5 years or a valero / guzman potential matchup.

i still see baby bull going 3-0 against those dudes.

a marquez / diaz fight, now that would be some ****!

      what do you guys think?

For 24 and a full time college student, I think he's doing pretty damn well. He's second only to Mayweather in +/- percentage (% of punches landed - % of punches hit with) and it's not even close to the next person. He doesn't have a ton of knockouts but all but one of his 16 decisions were all fairly wide UDs. He's not unbeatable, but he's definitely the man at 135 until someone else proves otherwise.

Marquez is getting up there, but he sure put a schooling on Rocky Juarez. He would definitely be by far the best Juan has ever faced. I like Juan's chances over Pac better than over JMM.

Professional Boxer, CHAMP, and full time college student living with his parents. The guy is very humble, doesn't look like much but he can whoop some serious ass. I not only respect him, but I admire him too. His story is good for boxing and HE IS A REAL ROLE MODEL. If my son decided to persue a carrer in boxing while attenting college, I will support his ass all the way.

its funny, as you said, hes only 24, hes looking at the possibility of having 10 title defenses and unified championship by 25, yet he doesent get a whole lot of play around here.

hes def one of my favorites but im not gonna go crazy talking about him as clearly his biggest fights are ahead of him and there are gonna be a lot better chances to praise him down the road.

funny too how a guy like povetking generates so much praise for his rapid development when he is 28 and 5 years away from ever having the credentials juan already has.

and manny steward is being called a fool for saying a 23 year prodigy named andy lee is ready for the big time, its all relative, you dont need a certain number of fights or have to be alive for a certain amount of time, when a guy is special you just gotta let him go for it.

personally, I think one of the most amazing things about Diaz is that he actually already could be considered a 'blown up' lightweight.

If you look at him, you can tell he does not have a big frame...compared to the majority of fighters in boxing, he hardly cuts any weight, look at all that excess weight he has. I dont think it would be impossible at all for him to cut down to even 125 lbs if he wanted to. Hes not a big puncher at 135, but 10 or even just 5lbs lighter? With his punch volume, and how solid he connects on opponents most of the time?
You just found yourself a devastating puncher.

Its kind of a pain if you actually care about the p4p list...cause honestly, I feel like he deserves to be top 10 p4p due to his absolute dominance, but on the other hand Casamayor technically is still the 'champ' at 135 even tho thats bull****, and then the ones already in the top 10 have bigger 'names' on their records, or are jsut bigger names themselves.

frankly, I dont care tho. Personally, if you take into account what type of a person the fighter is+how entertaining their fights are+how good they are, I think Juan Diaz is by far the #1 fighter in boxing.
