I was unaware of this story. Its pretty strange.

Max Kellermans brother was killed.

On October 17, 2004, the body of Max's brother Sam was found near a hammer in his Hollywood apartment. As a result of the ensuing investigation, former boxer James Butler was arrested and charged with Sam's murder. He later confessed to the murder and was given a 29 year sentence.[1]

As an unfortunate stroke of bad luck, when Adam Carolla's manager was inviting Kellerman to the premiere of his new boxing film, "The Hammer", he did not know that Sam Kellerman's murder was committed by Butler, who was known as "The Harlem Hammer". Adam stated on his radio show, The Adam Carolla Show, that he felt bad about the incident and pointed out what a crazy coincidence it really was.

I can remember this; it was relatively big news a couple years ago. I feel bad for Max and his family. His brother was trying to help out a guy who was down on his luck and ended up getting murdered...

I've heard of it a while ago but it's something you're supposed to know.
It's a typical murder case.
I too find it very strange. Especially with the whole radio coincidence thing.

yeah.. ****ed up ****.... Butler is also Infamous for his "After the fight was Over" KO of Richard Grant...

The thing is how bizzare it all is..

a hammer on the floor near his brother and "the harlem hammer" is the murderer.

also his name was Butler..as in the Butler did it.

Kellerman is a boxing reporter/commentator and a boxer kills his brother.

I thought it was a fake story!
