Pavlik is not that greatly gifted of athlete, ask Jack Loew, boxers arn't 50 mile sprint runners, they're not horses, they're men.

This guy is so far out there, the average man understands boxing, I dont think this man Max Kellerman does.

im not sure what youre quoting kellerman on here and which words are yours but im pretty sure youre taking what he said completely out of context with the express intent of trying to make him look bad.

he was talking about the PUBLIC'S perception of Pavlik, not his personal feelings. He went on to say that Pavlik was born different than us and he is an exceptional athlete... Kellerman spoke before the Zertuche fight about how completely ambidextrous Pavlik is and how abnormal a gift it is. Jack Loew would tell you that Pavlik is gifted if you asked him, maybe not in the 360 dunking a basketball sort of way, but in the born to be a fighter sort of way.

Kellerman is saying that the public doesent care about athleticism, they see a tough, down to earth white boy from a rust belt town, who lives in his parents tiny ass house and they identify with him, they dont bother looking any further to see what it is that makes him a great fighter, theyre just happy that he is and they see a small piece of themselves in him.

Kellermans knowledge of boxing, without a doubt, far exceeds yours. And i thought his commentary on Pavlik was well thought out and delivered, just cause you're putting words in his mouth doesent make him any worse at what he does

Kellerman is one of the best boxing analysts today! The explanation here is that many times smart people say things that the not so smart people misinterpret.

I was going to metion that was not an exact quote without making reference word for word as to what he said on the Pavlik Taylor II promo (I should have in retrospect). It was close enough in my estimation. If you think my summary of what he said is off base with the actual quote it's possible I'm not remembering it correctly but to my knowledge that is what he said if in slightly different wording if not to the letter . It was just as out there, caught my attention, as I watching the Pavik Taylor promo video.

Remember when Kellerman and Atlas used to go at each other on FNF?
I think he's a little more respectful to the HBO brass and it kind of diminshes his appeal.

He does look like he needs to lay off the coffee at times.

I think he was meant Pavlik was a natural athlete and that was one of his gifts which makes him different than most people. and he works hard to get what he wants therefore hardworking people (class) identify with him as he works for it all the way, doesn't just get it, he deserves it.

Max Kellerman is the most random and like you said, "out there" boxing analyst I have ever seen. I remember I was sitting there with my family for Morales/Pacquiao III and he would just come up with the weirdest ****, and we would be like what the hell is the guy talking about?

Max Kellerman: Morales and Pacquiao is like drinking tea on a sunday afternoon....or

Pavlik and Taylor is like getting a haircut for 7.99 plus tax.

                wtf?
