Lederman is shocking, the other day i re-watched Nazeem 'Bumfighter' Hamed against Barrera, Lederman had it even or so going into round 6, he's clearly insane, Naz won about 2 rounds the entire fight.

Nothing beats his scoring for mayweather hatton though, ill never forget Lampley distancing himself and the rest of HBO from that scoring, it was absolutely rediculous.

Usually Lederman is fairly accurate, but he was far off the mark last night. I scored it 116-112 for Quintana.

However, his daughter Julie seems to be unable to score a fight accurately. Maybe she's biased in favor of certain fighters.

** Historically, scoring fights has always been boxing's weak point. The worst of any major, or former major sport in boxing's case.

Lederman is as credible as anyone in the game, better than half the judges out there, and his scoring isn't even official. Kellerman would be the absolute worst choice, a fanboy in a suit. Merchant probably would never want to tally fights any more than the informal rounds he already keeps. I respect the bulk of Merchant's work history as far as knowing boxing and the actual fight in the moment, so his current role and tally is good enough for me. My criticism is his often negative post fight interviews after the fighters have been knocked about and often given everything they've got.

Speaking of Merchant's work history, I would also add that Merchant at least actually had a prime. Some of his BS critics will never have any kind of prime in anything and couldn't tell you tomorrow what lit up their shorts today.

He gives in to hype. For example the first round of Mayweather-Hatton he scored it for Hatton. The punch stats weren't even close!

I have a feeling it's not always him scoring the fights, he's not official so his higher ups probably tell him how to score.

Last night was a joke on Harold's part, i really have no clue what he was watching to have Paul winning 115-113, when Paul and his own corner knew he was getting beat. I think he was just trying to keep it close for the HBO fighter, so they can always say Ledderman had him winning, down the line, but yesterday Max was definately throwing it out there he wasnt seeing the fight the same.

Another fighter he never likes to give rounds to is Bernard Hopkins, Im sure he has his favorites like everybody else which is okay, but maybe HBO needs to do the press scoring like ShowTime does.

No, he has no ability to score fights properly.
First the poor scoring in the Hatton fight, then the abysmal scoring in the Quintiana fight.
