    Cotto-Bailey looking solid!

Former WBO 140lb champion Randall Bailey is expected to sign a contract today to face current WBO champion Miguel Cotto on the December 11 undercard of Vitali Klitschko's WBC heavyweight title defense against Danny Williams at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Bailey has lost three of his last six fights, but he is an exciting, all action ****er with 27 KOs in his 28 wins. He was scheduled to appear on Thursday's big card in Hollywood, Fla., but obviously will pull out if the fight with Cotto is on.

He's a big puncher, really big.... & also prone to waiting too long to get off.
He'll get destroyed if he stands there letting Cotto ulnload on him.

Cotto will take Bailey easy. What jabsRstiff says is true. He is a puncher but waits too long for that big punch that hasn't come in most of the fights that I have seen.

I can't see Bailey winning this fight, Cotto wins by KO in the mid rounds.

this is abs fight..cotto will win and very easy..anyway..i hope after this fight, cotto step it up and take on some of the top ten which i know he could beat...just stay away from floyd or Kosta and he'll be fine

cuz right now i think floyd would use his speed and beat him badly..and KT would just KTFO of cotto..but anyone else he has a great chance of beating

This does nothing to help Cotto deal with southpaws or boxers in the future. We know he can take a punch and beat opponents who come at him; now we need to see if he can handle a boxer/mover and/or a southpaw but preferably not both in one opponent just yet.

I'm glad to see everyone here knows what he's talking about. As for pure boxers, the best one outside of Floyd is Mitchell. A fight between Cotto and Mitchell is unlikely though, at least after November 6. After all, if Mitchell wins, Cotto wouldn't be worth it, at least not until Cotto's a little more proven, and if Mitchell loses, the risk wouldn't be worth it for Cotto. I wish Corley hadn't pulled out, because even though he's coming off two losses, he's exactly the type of fighter Cotto has to prove himself against.

I think Harris would be about the right level to push Mitchell into a fight. Hatton would too, but he's not good enough from the outside to answer any of the questions about Cotto.

Is he a mover or does he tend to stand in front of his guy? Is he an accurate puncher? Can he take a punch?

I haven't seen any of Bailey but from what I've read it'll be a quick KO for Cotto. He will eat you up working upstairs and down if you sit in front of him.
