Junior Witter Talks Cotto, Hatton, Khan

WBC junior welterweight champion Junior Witter is ready to make a serious impression on the American public. He's scheduled to defend his title against unbeaten Demetrius Hopkins on March 22 in California. The bout will be televised by HBO. Recently, there have been some issues between Hopkins and his former promoters, Golden Boy Promotions. The problem may cause his departure from the fight and another name may step in if the deal is not sealed. [details]

That guy is worthless. Best win against an 18-2 Nigel Wright.

March 22nd might be too soon for his next bout, he just fought Nigel Wright on Friday. Then again, its on HBO so I suppose he wouldn't say no.

I'd have to agree with Witter about Khan. He's just not experienced enough to compete against Witter yet and would almost certainly suffer his first KO or UD loss if he fought him this soon. Same with Khan v Hatton. I can see Khan giving both Witter and Hatton a good run for their money in about 2 years time though, in what would probably be two very memorable bouts.

True, I really want to see witter get a good win on HBO hopefully the deal with DHOP will be signed and that could set up a hatton fight.

Witter needs to be humbled, Hatton could be the man to do it.
