I felt Chavez hadn't prepared accordingly and this fight definitely proved it. He even said so himself at the end of the fight. I hope he remedies whatever he did wrong or he isn't going to last.

Also there is no way Celaya was "WELL AHEAD". Sure he could have been winning but not well ahead.

Knockdowns count a lot and if you only count the rounds in which he scored a knockdown in his favor he would have been loosing 74 to 76.

P.S. the quitting was legit. Jr. Busted Celaya up bad. Celaya had the better workrate but chavez landed and made more damage. I kept yelling for him to throw lead rights for Celaya was open for them all night with his hand at his waist but when he finally fed him a spoon full of lead rights in the eighth Celaya knew it was over.

thats the way i see it , he is to easy to hit IMO

Chavez was less of a target when he crouched cause of his height ,his son is to tall to be illusive ,he is to much of a big target to find

He got hit a lot against Ray Sanchez i thought so anyway

Celaya was paid to lose this fight. Chavez landed like 10 punches in the whole damn fight. Jose's face didn't hold up, but they were bumping heads alot and that could have been the reason. He was schooling Jr, winning the rounds and just waiting for some Chavez offense to call it quits. Do you really think he was gonna go all the way into the heart of Mexico and walk out the winner? I think his performance and the way he quit, while he was winning tell me and everyone watching that this fight was bought. Besides, the only reason Jr got those two knockdowns is because he came into the fight at 170 plus pounds. The thing with Jr is, he already thinks he's his father.... He's NOT. Sr worked his ass off to get where he got, Jr is living off his fathers name, and it seems to me he's a little big headed, no pun intended. The kid has no head movement, papa slipped alot of punches... Jr does not let his hands go, daddy was a wrecking ball..... and yes daddy was 10 times better than Jr at 35 fights. I'm sorry my fellow Mexicano's, JCC Jr is not the real deal, fighters like JCC Sr only come around once in a lifetime if your lucky and Sr was our once.

some of the fools blamed chavez jr inability to finished celaya after that knockdown. but sizing the fight, it seems that chavez was just scaling celaya's power and stamina. while celaya put up a good fight, i knew chavez will eventually win the fight because celaya was slowly wearing down and his eyes almost shut. i was not amaze when celaya quit because that was all he can do in that fight. chavez' selective punches gradually slowed down celaya. i only notice one thing in chavez, his dreaded left hook is missing. but i still believe chavez' can still beat the best in that division.

get the hell out of here. You obviously didnt see the fight! celaya eye couldnt take the rights anymore and quit. if he was paid he would have just stayed down either in after the first or second knock down. get out of here dude
