the right cross, is punch thrown after the jab, so you cross your left, the straight right is a lead right, you cant throw a straight right after a jab.
Thats my guess -_-.
A right cross is more of a finisher punch and aims to kind of slash your opponents face. But a straight lands on say just the cheek. Right cross is more powerful, but hard to distinguish between the two.
I don't get this analysis really. The truth is that they are the same exact thing. A straight right=right hand=right cross
Don't read too much into what Lederman said, he didn't mean any difference.
A right cross is basically the same thing. If you want to, you can differentiate the two by the angle but there is really not much of a difference. A right cross is more chopping than a straight right if you want.
It is sometimes seen a lot when you have to come a little up and over with your right instead of straight through. If someone has their shoulder and glove up to block you can throw a right cross to get around the glove. Just a slight variation on the straight.
A right cross, for some weird reason, is thrown a lot by Australian fighters. Now, I could be talking out my ass, but I rarely see many other fighters throw that chopping right cross, but Australians seem to do it a lot.

Right Cross kinda looks like a curve ball being thrown from a pitcher.
Straight Right is exactly what it sounds like. A straight right hand that comes out of the chest.
Speakin of Taylor, I still can't believe he's this deep in his career and he throws a ****ty right hand. The main thing that frustrates me about Taylor is that he throws his only right hand like Oscar did early in his career, like a giant ****in curve ball. I still can't believe Manny never taught him to shoot a quick straight right from his chest, Taylors fast enough to murder people that punch.
