    HBO Weights In The Ring?

What happened to HBO listing the weights of the fighters in the ring? I havent seen them in a long time for any of there fights. They were the only one's who did it and I thought that was cool but now it seems like theyve stopped for some reason. Unless Im wrong and just havent noticed them. Has anyone else noticed them anymore?

I don't know if HBO changed its policy, but I do know that the fighters have the option to refuse the prefight weigh in.

They still do it, its just that some states dont conduct these same-day weigh ins. In those states, HBO would have to conduct the same-day weigh ins themselves and i guess its an uneccesary hassle.

        i like it to though

I always thought they used their own "unofficial scale". I hope they use it for tonight's fight. I'm curious to see what Williams weighs today.

In the 2004 fight with Hopkins, they mentioned that Oscar never lets them weigh him on fight night. So it's been that way for a while at least.

Right. Only the commission can force a fighter to weigh in. HBO can only get them to weigh in on a voluntary basis.

Yeah, Oscar never let them do it. Also, Gatti was the same, or atleast when he got older he was. I dont think he wanted to let people know how much he outweighed his opponets by

Exactly and its been said that Oscar used to tip the scales in the past. I wish they only had one weigh in which was on the day of the fight and didnt give a fighter so long to replenish, if so Oscar wouldnt be in HOF talk I dont think.
