Gomez is still a tough opponent, he may not be elite but he is also nothing to overlook. He already showed he has heart and chin and boxing abilities so to write him off is nonsense. Do I think Cotto should win=YES, do I think Gomez could win=YES!!!! Do I think Floyd should beat DLH=YES, do i think DLH could beat Floyd=NO!!!! DLH is DONE, there fight is absolutley meaningless and at least when Cotto is taking on lighter competition at least they are still prime fighters!!!!! I know Mosley ain't prime but he is better than DLH right now IMO, and basically since the Castillo fight, Floyd has never faced someone he feels he could lose to, even if there is a slight chance he finds an excuse to write them off as an opponent, GET YOUR ASS IN THE RING AND WRITE THEM OFF, NOT AFTER A WIN IN A MICROPHONE BUT IN THE RING WITH GLOVES ON AGAINST A PRIME WW, NOT AN AGED MW OR LWW OR ANY OF THAT, FIGHT IN YOUR DIVISION THAT YOU SUPPOSEDLY RUN, BUT YET NEVER FIGHT ANYONE WORTH NOTING FROM THAT DIVISION????

Since 1999 Oscars best wins are:

        Gatti
        Vargas
        Sturm
        Mayorga

        He has lost to:

        Trinidad
        Mosley
        Mosley
        Hopkins
        Mayweather

So to say he only lost to a P4P #1 is hilarious, in all actuallity he hasn't beaten anyone since Ike Quartey, Julio Ceasar Chavez twice, Hector Camacho and Pernell Whitaker and all those were pre--1999!!!! So my question is this what makes you think he still gots it, what has he done, was that Mayorga win that impressive????

I hate to sound like a broken record, or a old man, or a cliche personality...

But it's how Oscar performed is what granted him his status. It took a middlewight to finally shut Oscar up.

No one below could move him, or completely destroy him. And given his various perfomances, you should have questions..

"What if Oscar didn't try to slug it out with Mosley in the first fight and tried to outpoint Shane like he did against Trinidad?"

"What if Oscar actually leaned into a heavy quick shot the same way he did in the first Mosley fight, when he faught Felix?...Trinidad doesn't have a solid chin let alone defense."

Not to mention, Hopkins, stated before his fight with Felix, that he was going to utilize Oscar's plan, but he would infact KO Titio.

This is a Cotto thread, but to dismiss Oscar in my threads is a No-No

              Really, in what factor?

Oscar just went 12 with Floyd and picked his so called amazing handsped straight out of the air to the point where alot of people saw that fight as a draw.

Oscar is old, no where he use to be, and he's hungry to fight the best. That alone surpasses your life and anyone else's. Not to mention, even though he should be thrown to the side, he's still usin his muscle in the sport to fight the best...

Most fighters, you gotta torture them just to fight the best...

And this is a Cotto thread..

It's a Cotto thread but they were trying to use a Gomez/DLH comparison or not use it, when in all actuallity Gomez now could beat DLH at 147 and maybe a catch weight at 150 or something. Is it just me or did DLH's punches in the Floyd fight look rather Sergio Mora like? Them weak ass shots couldn't hurt a flyweight, DLH is good for the sport as long as it's promoting and not fighting!!!!

I agree but the record is the record bogus or not!!!! DLH has been good for the sport for years and still can be as long as he retires. And I have never and will never take anything away from him with getting in there with the best, but he is living of his name and past not what he has left in the tank!!!!
