P4P: What WW Is Better Then Floyd?

There is no doubt that Floyd can fight at WW and win at WW but we all know that his P4P weight right now is 135-140. Therefore, what WW is better then a 135-140 pound Floyd.

Lets start with Margarito since alot of you guys are huge Margarito fans. Seriously, can you guys tell me with a straight face that you honestly believe that a WW Margarito is a better fighter then a 135-140 pound Mayweather? You honestly believe that? If you dont truly believe that then what are you really saying? Your basically saying that you dont think Margarito is P4P better then Floyd but you think Margarito would win at WW simply because he is bigger then Floyd. If thats the case then my argument is what does that really prove? Do you hate Floyd so much that you want him to lose because he is just too small for a guy? Wouldnt you rather someone beat him simply because there better?

Thats how I think alot of people feel and I think thats so ******. Dougie Fischer is the biggest Floyd hater/Margarito fan there is and he always rips Floyd for not fighting Margarito. He always says that he thinks that Margarito would beat him or atleast he did up until the Clottey fight. Despite saying that he also admits that he has never had Margarito ranked as a top 15 P4P fighter and doesnt think he is that great but he thinks that he would just overwhelm a smaller Floyd who isnt a true WW. Again, my question is then what did that really prove? Floyd could lose to a average guy at MW also but does that mean the guy is better then him or that he sucks? Its the same thing with Manny Steward. He rips Floyd but then openly admits that he doesnt think anyone can beat him except for a "Big WW". This is Floyd's 4th class and he doesnt think any guy at those lower weights even comes close to him. He doesnt even think a "regular WW" can beat Floyd. He's basically admitting that he could lose simply because a guy is too big for him.

I personaly still thinks that Floyd beats everyone at WW but some guys could give him some real trouble, not because of skill but because of size. I wish so bad that all these guys were a 140 pounders because then it would all be relative. Even if they were huge 140 pounders it wouldnt be a big difference in size but WW changes everything. Tsyzu was a huge 140 pounder but I think Floyd see's that as relative to him. Its the same with Cotto. Cotto was a super huge 140 pounder but then when you move up 1 weight, Floyd only gains a couple of pounds while Cotto gains in the double digits. He was already way bigger then Floyd at 140 and gets even that much bigger at WW. The 140 pound disparity was something Floyd could handle but the 147 disparity makes Floyd hesitate on all these guys. No doubt Cotto is a better fighter now then at WW but that doesnt bother Floyd. I think he wants Cotto and the others to be at there best but what bothers him is the huge size difference of Cotto and the others between 140 & 147. Its like a natural cut off limit. The bottom line is do you really believe these guys are better then Floyd or do you just think he will win because they are the bigger/stronger guys? You dont really believe most of them are better then Floyd if any at all

Please list who all here are HUGE margo fans and who actually said Margo was a better fighter than Mayweather? I hate posters like you who take **** out of context just to further your meaningless posts. Man up and list.

Well said, Ive been saying this too for a long time. Its funny when people want a fighter to fight Floyd 9 times out of ten they are way bigger, to echo this, listen to Merchant reel off Winky's name after Floyd beat Hatton, sick. He also brought up Vernon Forrest's name. Its funny watching that commentary because they all three looked sick, you could tell they wanted to see Floyd lose and was utterly speechless.

Either they are racist or all agree Floyd is a boring in the ring. And for the gratest fighter that has ever lived he is also the most boring.

It's been over 2 1/2 years now since Mayweather weighed less than 146. He has bulked up and become a real welterweight. Pretending he is anything but is delusional bull****. If Floyd thought he was a better fighter at 142 or 143, that's what he'd be weighing at his fights.

We'll never know if the other welterweights are better than Floyd or not, because he won't fight the best at 147, like Cotto and Williams.

After DLH II, Floyd will likely fight someone smaller with a reach disadvantage, like Hatton again or Gavin Rees. Or he may fight Casamayor if he loses to Katsidis, which will indicate that he's shot.

Floyd is too afraid of losing his "0" to fight Cotto or Williams.

Yeah, it's hard to rate Floyd at WW, since out of his only 3 legitimate WW bouts (Judah, Baldomir and Mitchell,) all three have since been beaten, two of them in much more impressive fashion (Judah and Mitchell.) The two guys that beat these two in mmif were Cotto and Williams and Floyd wants no part of either. What's the use of "the best fighter in the world" if he won't fight the best while still in his prime?
