    Saw Wlad on BBCWorld Today

Well I was chanel surfing in the morning and was tottaly surprised when I saw an interview with Wlad taken at his training camp.

Some interesting things he said, I paraphrase:

In response to Larry Holmes' comment that the division is a joke-

"Yes the division is not serious, these guys just want to pick up a quick belt and collect the paycheck, no one one seems passionate about the sport"

"This Division needs a charismatic man like Ali, there isnt one in the division now, but Im sure there is a young man somewhere outhere who will eventually be that man"

*it was clear that he doesnt see himself as that man

"I believe that my losses made me stronger then I ever was, they had a big mental effect on me, and I know today that a fight is won or lost long before I step into the ring, its all a mental game"

"I do what I do because I love the sport, and I still fight because Im still passionate about it".......went on to make some comments how boxing made him stronger in his business ventures.

then he went on to talk about some of his charity work in New York...

That's the latest trend, Generation X stuff. Those of us who were born when it was still USSR, don't give a ****.

Tell that to my parents and everyone I know (50 and older)

To those who are politicaly/historicaly/culturaly concious and did not associate themselves with USSR get offended just like an any other culture would be when being labeled as someone else.

But I guess there sadly still is a large number of people with the sovok syndrome who loath for those times and very much feel soviet in their identity.

It's all good, but its important to know that there are large cultural differences between russians, ukrainians, koreans, japanise and chinese

its a shame wlad takes the preparation so seriously, he could probably knock out the rest of the top ten fighters one after another every two weeks.
