Mayweather Jr vs De La Hoya II

Sorry if this is old news but I noticed in the upcoming fights section that Mayweather v De La Hoya II is pencilled in for 20th September '08. With DLH having a bout in May 3rd this year, opponent to be arranged. No news of a Floyd warm-up bout though interestingly enough.

Do you guys think this fight will go ahead? And should it? Will this fight be the last of Floyd & Oscar's careers?

    This is old news.

The fight is all but confirmed, no it shouldn't, and no it won't.

It should be easy to look good when your fighting someone who fights in two divisions below you.

I don't see the point in De La Hoya having a tune up because it will likely end in an early knockout.

It's just to suck in the casual boxing fans who don't know any better. After he gets an early knock out he say something to the sort of, I've never felt better in my life. With Mayweather in my corner It makes all the difference in the world..........blah blah blah. I do think he will benefit from Floyd Sr. though.
