It would have been absolutely great if Hector Camacho...

tried to win his bout with Julio Cesar Chavez...

I'm watching it, and I feel like I'm wasting my time.

I was really hoping that Camacho was going to put up a good fight, because I immediately liked him when I saw him. He looked like a Mega Man villian, and came out to "Ain't No Stopping Us Now" by McFadden and Whitehead. This fight blows **** though.

True definition of running in this fight... for everyone who calls Cory Spinks or Floyd Mayweather Jr. "runners", you should watch this fight and then get back to me.

Camacho changed his style after he fought Rosario. He became a safety first fighter after that, he had a great chin though.

What happened in the Rosario fight? They mentioned it during the fight.

Also, something else struck me as interesting during this fight.

This fight did seem like Chavez at his best, and now I can understand why he had the record and why he was considered such a badass... before this fight, I just watched him get effectively outclassed by Taylor I and Whitaker, and Chavez winning, but not being insanely relentless against Taylor II.

This fight he was stalking like a beast and was about as accurate as you can ask for.

Anyways, what struck me as interesting is how he looked when he was fighting during the rounds. He looked exactly like vintage Marco Antonio Barrera (before he learned how to effectively box).

I just thought that was pretty interesting myself. I have a feeling Barrera modeled himself after Chavez, but even so, he got that **** down pat.

Here's the wikipedia entry on it, it's better than me explaining. Long story short, he got hurt too many times in the fight and decided to change his style.

            And an aritcle on ESB.

Chavez at his best right here.

You have to see that fight. Great fight between two Puerto Rican legends. Rosario nearly took Camacho's head off with a hook or uppercut. I agree with Silencer...Camacho took a hit and run style the rest of his career after that fight.

Unfortunately for the 40 year old Sugar Ray Leonard, Camacho went back to his old style in this fight.
