His Body Bag Work Is Great, His Double End Bad Work Is Amazing, I Haven Seen A Few Sparring Videos Of Floyd And He Really Does Go Sometimes 10 To 15 Minute Rounds With Different Partners Moving In.....to Be Continued.
Foot/upperbody Movement- There Has Been Many Fights With Nice Footwork And Upperbody Movement, But Nobody In The Last 4 Decades Has Used Their Body As Effectively As Floyd To Avoid Punishment. Floyd's Upperbody Movement Rarely Gets Talked About, But I Have Watchd His Fights So Many Times, That I Have To Praise It. His Flexiblity Is Just Breathtaking. How He Avoids Punches Even At Higher Weights Is Just Too Good To Be True. When Floyd Trains He Doesn't Pack On Too Much Muscle To Limit His Upperbody Movement Like Many Others Have Done. From How Toned His Back Looks And Shoulders Look, You Can Tell He Works On Those Areas Of His Body To Give Them More Strength When It Comes To Dodging Punches. He Angles His Body Is A Postion That Makes His Opponents Uncomofrtable, And In Doing This He Puts Himself In A Better Position To Land Punches Accurately On His Opponents Like He Did Against Gatti And Jukko As Well As The Corrales Fight. Floyd Was A Master At This. He Could Land Hard Punches At An Angle That Would Usually Take Away Power And Speed From Other Fights Like A Terry Norris Or Larry Holmes. Floyd A Lot Times Positioned His Body In A Position Like He Was Going To Throw A Hook To The Body And He Would Land A Jab At Times Or A Left Hook Upstairs Or A Right Hook Upstairs. He Did This A Lot Against Diego And Sosa Which Made Them Susptable To His Right Hooks. Floyd Is A Boxing Genius.

Sorry but i disagree did you see Pernell Whitaker ?? i think his upper body movement was better than Mayweather's, He could avoid 8 punch combinations using just reflexes alone. In fact Whitaker's body looked like rubber band his upper body movement was unreal. Now maybe Whitaker doesn't have Mayweather's technical defense, but upper body movement wise i think Whitaker edges it, and so does Roy Jones P4P.

His Footwork Was Amazing Because He Didn't Have To Move Very Fast(although He Could And Did A Lot) To Land Effective Blows Because He Was So Observant In The Ring That He Know Where To Go Most Of The Time Like He Di Dwith Brussles And Avoided Puches To The Body While Going In An Out Of Range, Floyd Is Very Tactical With His Footwork. Leonard Was Good Too In Doing This, But Moved Less Fluently Seeing How He Would Flurry His Punches.

Neither did Roy Jones or Pernell Whitaker in a majority of there fights, they would stand in punching range make there opponents look like fools by making them miss with so many punches. Then counter with beautiful crisp punches.

Body Punching- Mayweather Is A Underrated Body Puncher By Far. The One Thing That Stands Out To Me About Floyd's Bodypunching Is How Accurate He Is With Them. Just Go Back And Watch The Fight With Judah, N'dou, Corrales, Burton, And Gatti(i'll Be Using Him A Lot Ladies And Gentlemen). Floyd Knows How To Break Down His Opponents Very Well Which Is Why He Gets Better As The Later Rounds Commence, Because He Takes The Air Out Of Them With His Bodyshots. And He Lands Them In Places Where It Hurts More And More As Th Efights Goes On. His Jab To The Body Looks Strong And Fast And Sets Up Many Things. Just Watch The 6th Round Of Floyd/gatti Right Before He Lands His Second Combo, He Started That Up With A Stiff Jab To His Body. Floyd Is An Amazing Body Puncher And Accurate Also.

Again i think Jones was a much more effective body puncher than Mayweather, i mean he actually KO Hill with one body shot, plus Jones used to double his opponents over with body shots, but i do agree Mayweaher is an underrated body puncher, he even stunned ODLH with good shots to the body as well, one thing i have noticed where Mayweather and Jones are similar. Is that they get around there opponents elbows with solid left hooks to the body with such ease, there opponents think there body is well protected with the elbows tucked in but Jones and Mayweather always find an opening right around the elbow.

Defense/counterpunching. This Is Floyd's Bread And Butter Guys. Floyd Is Most Known For His Defense But People Seem To Leave Out How Great A Counterpuncher He Is To The Body. He Countered Zab Judah Very Accurately To The Body In Round 5 Or 6 Of Their Fight And The Shot He Landed Slowed Judah Down A Lot, And I Know Judah Was Stung By It And Backed Off A Lot After This Shot. Judah Threw A Left Hook At Floyd And Floyd Ducked Under And Landed A Perfect Shot(left Hook) To Zab's Right Rib. Another Trait Of Floyd And His Counterpunching Is What Angle And Postion He Can Land It From. Guys, Go Back And Watch The Fight With Gatti, In Th E2nd Round Gatti Threw A Jab That Floyd Sidestepped And Countered It With A Perfectly Timed Left Hook And This Was When His Body Was Fully Extended Outwords, And He Still Landed It Beautifully. This Is Art People. Floyd Landed Counter Right Hands On Gatti All Night, And Another Type Of Counter Right Hands Floyd Landed Was On The Ropes Against De La Hoya In The 5th Round Where Oscar Was Throwing Wild Punches In Flurries And Floyd Landed Two Counter Right Hands In The Middle Of The Barrage While In His Shoulder Roll Defense And Used The Ropes To Channel Oscar Very Well. This Is Art Folks. I Believe In His 5th Or 6th Fight, Floyd Landed A Vicous Left Hook On This Kid And Knocked Him Out With It, And It Was A Hard Left Hook To Say The Least, And Not To Mention How Fast It Was. Roy Jones Jr Used To Counter With Left Hooks And Threw Them In Bunches Many Times Also, But Floyd Placed Them Way Better Than Roy And Threw Them More Sharper Which Is What Hje Did Against Diego And Gatti( In The Sixth Round He Threw 3 Well Thrwon Hooks At Agtti And Landed Them All At A Tempered Pace, This Is Art Folks). Roy Joens Was A Great Counterpuncher, But Only When He Ducked A Punch. The Same Goes With Ray Leonard And Ali. They Were Great Counterpunchers, But Only When They Dodged Punches. Floyd Countered Many Times From A Blocking Position, Meaning He Blocked Punches And Countered Immediately Afterwards. He Did It Against Baldomir And Chavez, When He Threw Them Uppercuts While Blocking His Punches. Floyd Had The Ability To Block A Jab Or A Hook With His Power Hands And Counter With A Jab, His Positioning Was Amazing In Doing So. He Timed His Oppoent's Body Movement Great And Made Them Vulnerable To His Right Hand Or Left Hooks, And Floyd Moved Right Out Of The Way Afterwards Before He Was Hit In Return, Which Only Made His Opponents Miss Huge And Expend More Energy Which Only Made Them Even More Vulnerable To A Bodypunch Or A Puch They Couldn't See Coming. He Did This In His Knockout Vicotry Over N'dou In The 7th Round. The Best Counterpuncher I Have Seen Since Toney Back At 168. And Yes, A Hell Of A Lot Better Than Roy And Sugar. People Get Caught Up In Roy's Style And I Was For While Also, And Him Putting His Hands Behind His Back Against Griffin And Countering With A Lfeft Hook To Knock Him Down Was Cool And All, But Floyd Was More Precise With His And More Damaging With His. The Best Counterpuncher Of His Generation.

I think Winky Wright was also very effective at blocking shots then countering with a straight left or a solid right jab, i also think James Toney in his prime was a master at blocking shots with his shoulder and countering especially in his fights with Jirov and Barkley, i do disagree with your last statement though, i think Jones counter punches were much more damaging than Mayweather's. Mayweather has had very little KO percentage especially with counter shots, go back and watch Roy Jones and see how many fighters he sparked out with counter shots.

Training/dedication To The Sport- Floyd's Training Regiment Is Imo The Best In Boxing And Has Been For 4+ Decades. First, His Running Methods Is Crazy. For A Guy To Go Out To Eat At A Nice Restaurant Only To Run Right Afterwards In His Nice Clothing Says A Lot. An Dhe Runs At Least Miles A Day During Training And Runs All Year Round. This Is Dedication. Floyd's Padwork With Roger Is The Best I Have Ever Seen. People Say Floyd Doesn't Really Do Any Work With Them, But If You Listen To How They Sound, You Can Tell That Floyd Is Hitting Them Hard But In A Controlle Yet Continuous Pace. When Roger Throws The Pads And Floyd Blocks With His Should And Right Sholder And Left Glove To Protect His Face While Still Throwing Hooks, This Shows Me How Truly Gifted This Kid Really Is. How Smooth It Looks, How Fast It Looks, How Difficult It Looks To Do, From How He Ducks Under The Pads Or Bobs His Head Left And Right To Avoid The Punches, Floyd's Padwork Is Just Godlike. I Mean, It Has To Be The Best In Boxing. I Mean Floyd Doesn;t Have To Throw Hard Punches All The Time When Training, Especially For A Guy With Brittle Hands. He Focuses On His Timing/accuarcy And Getting His Punches And Defense Sharp. From His Situp Routine With Ellerbe To His Punching Bag Work Whee He Punches The Bag At Least 1000 Straight In A Pace That Many Poeple Would Die From, Floyd Is Always In Shape. His Body Bag Work Is Great, His Double End Bad Work Is Amazing, I Haven Seen A Few Sparring Videos Of Floyd And He Really Does Go Sometimes 10 To 15 Minute Rounds With Different Partners Moving In.....to Be Continued.

I think an argument could be made for Marvin Hagler, that dude used to train in a jail and he always came in superb condition.

By the way i had to cut out some of your comments when i was quoting you, because there were too many words and it wouldn't let me post.

You can't live in the past. What has he done lately, and it's not like any of the above fights were Fight of the Year performances. The kid is a safety first, defense first, boring fighter. Not very exciting. Without Arturo and Oscar, he'd be on Showtime or Boxing after Dark. The only excitement we get out of him are the lies that come outta his mouth. If he's so damn good, he needs to put up against Cotto, Cintron, Williams, Margarito, Shane or shut the hell up.

I strongly disagree that Mayweather is even more fluent than ''Terrible'' Terry Norris. Look at the brilliant counter punching and handspeed of Norris
