    Should Joe Calzaghe be Criticised?

After he beats Grandad Hopkins and goes for the winner of Tarver-Woods?

I would personally like to see him against either:

Winner of Taylor/Pavlik II or Dawson/Johnson

RJJ should retire...Calzaghe could face Pavlik and/or Dawson and his last fights (if he fights twice)

No, I don't think he should be criticized. There are alot of people that want to watch this fight, especially in europe. I refuse to watch it because I don't want to put any money in Bernards pockets.

I think Calzaghe can beat Hopkins but he better prepare for a long stinker. Hopkins will drag out the fight. Calzaghe better be ready to carry that extra weight into the championship rounds.

yeah but did you read the original post? not that the grandad hopkins, talking about if he chooses to face the winner of tarver-woods when he can face the winner of pavlik/taylor II, Dawson/Johnson or Lucian Bute (althought I wont blame him if he doesn't face Bute as he is the version of a younger, fresher joe calzaghe)

If he wins I think Joe will fight Taylor (if he wins) or spend the next two fights trying to unify LHW i.e. two out of Woods; Tarver; Johnson; and Dawson.

If Kelly can buy himself out of the mandatory that might put him in the frame OR if Kelly continues to get headlines, Joe might stretch to another fight, from his recent interview he cites the need for the mental stimulation of a big name and if Kelly keeps sparking them out, it could be him.

The ONLY criticism you can level at Calzaghe is that he missed all the big fights 7-8 years ago, like a prime RJJ, Toney, Tarver etc. Whether that really was because people ducked him or not, we will never know.

No, I wouldn't blame him if he fought the winner of Tarver/Woods. I think a fight against Woods would be huge in Great Britain and Woods always comes to fight. I don't care too much for Tarver.
I'd love to see Calzaghe fight Dawson or Johnson, especially Johnson since i think he carries more power than any of the elite light heavies.
I don't think many fighters would go up in weight to fight Joe Calzaghe, and that includes Pavlik, taylor, and Bute. This is assuming that Calzaghe remains at light heavyweight.

Johnson has the power to trouble most people, Chad has great skills but I worry about his chin and I think Joe's chin could take Kelly's shots. BTW this forum will be a riot if Jermain pulls it off
