Well in the last year and a half he dominated the #1 LHW and 6 months ago he beat a top p4p guy, his two losses to Taylor are still disputed, he's still ranked #4 or 5 p4p, the guy stays in phenominal shape. I'd say he deserves the right to one or two big paydays.

Let's be honest it's about the money. I just think the quality of his fights is not what it needs to be to justify PPVs. He hasn't knocked anyone out since Oscar in 04 and most people think that was a dive. Personally, I'd much rather watch Pavlik or Miranda that Hopkins.

I've never been a fan of Hopkins style of fighting. He seems to have gotten dirtier in his old age, but he does still have good footwork and defence and is competitive with the best still. Still the only reasons I'll watch this one is because Calzaghe will be in it, it's free, and unless Hops has aged suddenly in the last 6 mo, it should be competitive.

Because he is able to hand pick his opponents then claim he is the undisputed champion when he wins. The boxing media goes along with it. Hopkins should take a lot more **** for ducking Chad Dawson who has been calling him out at every opportunity.
