Cal will beat Hopkins into retirement. If Cal loses I wonder how many people will use the trip to America as a viable excuse. -
I'm totally on the fence with this one, Yes I'm aware how the work rate of Calzaghe will be too much for Hopkins. But i'm also aware that Hopkins is very good at stopping other fighters fighting their fight weather its through dirty tactics or not.... also the extra pounds, and the non comfort zone could all come into play... oh and the Hopkins not losing to a white boy factor lol
I would like to hear how other peeps see it panning out, but with valid reasons rather than the same ol' calzaghes works to much scenario, and B-Hops an old man talk.Comment

I can see exactly what you mean, but the most underrated thing about Calzaghe is his ability to get stuck into a scrap and still come out on top. Hes done it against a lot of top people who fight rather than box. Eubank was famous for doing it, and Calzaghe out scrapped him. I've heard the "Eubank was an old man" arguement, and so is Hopkins, plus Joe was very green still at that stage. Hes got into a scrappy fight against Bika, Mitchell, Reid in parts, Brewer in parts and also Kessler in parts. If Hopkins turns this into a dirty war, he wont throw enough punches to keep Joe away from him. Joe admits himself all too often he gets drawn into the wrong type of fight due to all the macho bull****, but hes still undefeated, so he can clearly scrap with the best of them. I got Joe being dragged into the trenches, but meeting every headbutt/elbow with 5 or 6 clean, scoring punches. I also fancy Joe to be able to stop Hopkins late if he were to really set his mind to it.I'm totally on the fence with this one, Yes I'm aware how the work rate of Calzaghe will be too much for Hopkins.
