    WelterWeight an era matchups?

If you could matchup two welterweights from any era who would it be? An immediate response would be SRL vs PBF.. but that's too easy and too obvious. Name some good matchups and some odd ones. I'd personally like to see Hagler -vs- Judah. That would be one of the funniest ass kickings possible IMO.. any others

As far as I am aware Hagler always fought at Middle therefore it would be a definate ass kicking for Judah.

For me Jose Angel Napoles v Sugar Ray Leonard.

Hagler never fought at Welterweight, anyway.

      Carlos Palomino vs Pipinp Cuevas
Roberto Duran vs Julio Cesar Chavez
Wilfredo Benitez vs Floyd Mayweather Jr
Floyd Mayweather Jr vs Floyd Mayweather Sr
      Pernell Whitaker vs Zab Judah
      Ike Quartey vs Donald Curry
Vinny Pazienza vs Ricardo Mayroga = The two nutters going at it.

I don't know if he ever fought at 147 but my match up would be

        PBF vs. Aaron Pryor

PBF would need to train with his father to win this fight.

Pryor fought at Welterweight at the end of his career.

I don't actually think Swarming is the way to beat Mayweather, and before anyone brings up Castillo fight thats totally different, because Castillo took his time and picked his punches well he didn't swarm he put patience/smart effective pressure on Mayweather. Pryor is one of the best swarmer's the sport has ever seen but he is a bit too wild for my liking, and i think Mayweather would expose Pryor's lack of defense, Pryor holds his chin up in there air and gets caught, but the problem was that if you knocked Pryor down you just made him ever madder, I think Pryor would be mostly hitting arms and elbows all night, and Mayweather would counter Pryor and win a tough but clear cut decision IMO.

I agree to a certain extent. Pryor was a swarmer and wild but he seemed to have some skill to go along with all that wild and crazy **** he used to do. One reason I chose Pyror is because I think he one of only very few select people who could put PBF conditioning to the test. Pryor was faster than Castillo

                  Tito vs Leonard
                  Tito vs Mayweather

edge to Leonard but I think it would be a good fight.

Tito would handle Mayweather to a descive UD or a stoppage is pretty good possiblity because we've never seen him take a punch from a real top welterweight or even fight a real top welterweight even from this era, you have to favor Tito.
