When I say big guys, I mean 160+, I consider them to be the bigger guys in this sport. I'm not just talking about heavy weights

how can we avoid death in this sport? is there anybody out there who can help? life is so precious to lose in a battle for money and honor. something has to be done. Philippine boxing commission must act on this. they should not just investigate, sit back and relax... philippine boxing officials... where are your conscience? if you cannot do well for the sports, you should resign or hang yourselves!!!

They let ppl throw things in the ring at the the fighters, I don't think the Philippines boxing commission really gives a ****.

I seriously believe that making weight was an issue in Aroy's death. He complained of difficulty urinating and stomach ailments, all the tell tale signs of severe dehydration.

no the small guys dont die cos their weight drained, alot are naturaly that weight , its cos they have more stamina and tend to fight harder and throw more punches , whereas alot of the bigger weights tend to loll about and throw less

or maybe that paticular fighter was dehydrated and that was a factor, this is why i dont believe in cutting heaps of weight ie: if your a natural bantamweight but you dehydrate and push down to flyweight its not natural and can be dangerous as sometimes you cannot regain the fluids fast enough and fight to the best of your ability ie: defend yourself as this guy may have been to tired to properly defend and keep alert, thus taking unnecessary blows to the head, sad story RIP

                  R.I.P

This is a brutal sport, but you have to remember its a job like any other job.

My dad worked construction for many years, and alot of people he knew died at job sites, everything in life is a risk.
