Beating Oscar does not make Mayweather a better 147 ruler

keep in mind that i think mayweather is better than oscar, but this guy has some good points

If you didn't know any better, it would be reasonable to assume that the best way for Floyd Mayweather to prove himself a superior welterweight champion to Oscar De La Hoya is to just keep beating De La Hoya head-to-head. "Pretty Boy" did it once, in May 2007, and he hopes to do it a second time in September....

To prove their worth at welterweight, Sugar Ray Leonard and Oscar De La Hoya fought the best fighters of their respective generations. So with guys like Miguel Cotto, Paul Williams and Antonio Margarito around, what's Floyd Mayweather waiting for?

I am not thinking PBF is facing Oscar because of his legacy at 147.
