At the ufc 83 press conference, Dana is excited about holding the Even for the first time In Canada he said, to translate "Comparing the ufc to other combat sports like boxing is different, in boxing when guys come over from like germany in the u.s nobody wants to see them fight and sometimes get robbed, the UFC isn't like that, we get guys from all over the world and the U.S fans cheer for them as much as the home town fighter"

Dana's example is probably right but there is a different demographic in boxing. For example, Americans will flock to see Barrera or Cotto.

MMA and boxing should stop insulting one another, it doesn't make sense and a mudslinging campaign puts a black eye on both sports. My guess is that these two sports don't have to duke it out.. both have large audiences that won't require one sport or the other to die. And neither fight will win over the next one with petty facts like this one by Dana White.

He can say that for one reason. They build up there fighters on Spike TV. Of coarse they're gona have more fans. UFC is one organization. Once your In, its like ur in a cult. It's only if you suck really bad do they drop you. Boxing is litteraly more world-wide. More countries, more managers, promoters, its a wide business atmsphere, not everyone knows every fighter, even if they lived down the block from you.

Dana tried to become a Boxing promoter, he failed pretty badly so he has been throwing jabs at Boxing for awhile now.

the reaason for that is the is only one real mma company. remember thereis K1 IGL, Rage comcat. those are all companies.UFC picks the best of the best and put them in one company. in boxing it is not a company it is a sport. You cant pick the best and put them all under one contract to fight each other. The only COMPANY that hangs with boxing is UFC. The rest sucks. UFC is NOT a SPORT it is a business. MMA is the sport. UFC gets people under their company contract to fight their company fighters, thats why they cant dodge one another. Boxing doesnt have different fight leagues like mma. It is just boxing a regular sport open to any and all. thats why boxing is better.
