With the likes of Clottey, Cintron, Cotto, William and Margarito, gunning for welterweight supremacy, how does Berto measure into the equation?
Does Andre Berto Matter?

I dont think he matters at this point when Cotto-Gomez, Cintron-Margarito and a possible Cotto-Margarito are all fighting each other. Could Berto be in line for a title shot against Williams if they both win next week? I think that's a possible scenario I think. -
He's a young prospect that looks fantastic. I cant wait to see him fight on Saturday. Its a good test for him.
If he passes it hopefully he can fight a Clottey or a top 10 welterweight. Berto-Chavez jr or Berto-Gomez are both really great action fights.
I think he could make an impact, he has a lot of real talent. He just has to get more experience and tests under his belt before he goes for the top guys in the divisionComment

Well his last bout with David Estrada was supposed to be a WBC and IBF title eliminator, so I would imagine he would be next in line maybe after one more elimination fight.Comment

He's in a crowded division is all. It'll clear out in two years and he'll have his shot. But the guys at the top are not even fighting each other this year, so no one is going to give him the fightComment

He is the best prospect in world boxing right now. But in the worst possible division to make a name for yourself in. He is built like lacy with a short stocky build but fights with speed, the kid is awesome. I can see him facing Kermit down the line as he is starting to get eased out of it.Comment
