    Did Sharmba Mitchell officially retire?

I remember he said he wanted to win 60 fights before retiring...

He also was boxrec'd to fight Luis Collazo a few months back, but that obviously didn't come off.

His last fight was August of 06 when Paul Williams ****ed him over and over.

    Does anyone have any information?

I'm curious to know too, I haven't heard from him since he got destroyed by Paul Williams.
I wouldn't be suprised if he did retire though.

he should retire in my opinion. He wasn't a bad fighter but he could never really win at the championship level

actually, i think he did hold 140 belt for a while and i think he made two or three defenses before it was either tzyu or judah that got to him?

but i do agree that he couldn't win against the "a" level fighters if that is what you were saying?

          Tszyu got him twice.

Basically Mitchell was a good 140 pound champion who could never separate himself from the likes of Tszyu or other great champions at that weight.

Agree. I actually enjoyed watching him fight a lot. I actually thought he was more naturally gifted than Zab.

its funny that he's sort of faded into oblivion when at one point he was so grossly over rated.. he went in favourite against tszyu both times
