He might come back, that paycheck against Vitali probably has grown a ridiculous amount. Lennox won't take on wlad because wlad is looking ridiculously great now. But I bet you he would come back against Vitali for a nice paycheck, hell even if he lost he can have a million excuses on why. Though Wlad will always have that weak ass chin probably, but I don't know if anyone can get close to it with Wlads nice jab.
Even though ppl hate to admit it, boxers do get old. And both Vitali and Lennox are old fighters now, they won't be as good as they once were but a rematch between them would be nice to see. Like ppl still think Vitali and Lennox would destroy Wlad, I don't think they would. Do I think prime Vitali and Lennox beat the Wlad of today? Yes, but probably by ud since the Wlad of today fights smarter. He won't let anyone get close to that chin of his.

What a glib, self serving sermon this was, from Lewis. The truth was, that Lewis was afraid to re-match Klitschko, because of the punishment he got in that fight, and that he saw how Klitschko cared nothing about his own serious wounds, but wanted to continue pounding Lewis. Also, most of the experts had written that it looked as if Klitschko would beat Lewis easily next time, since Lewis barely made it to his stool before collapsing at the end of the 6th round, which Klitschko had won, with his bleeding eye under ciontrol for the past 2 rounds. One can be sceptical about statements for newspapers, BUT, the series of actions Lewis took AFTER the Klitschko fight tell it ALL. Just recall them.
At the post fight interview, Larry Merchant pressed him to revise his PRE-fight bluster about he -Lewis- being such a "pugilist specialist"- that he'd slaughter klitschko. Merchant wanted to know-repeatedly_ if Lewis NOW had respect for Klitschko, and Lewis kept evading, still denigrating his opponent. In other pre-fight interviews Lewis constantly referred to himself as "Lennox Lewis, the one and only", etc.etc. in third party refence. His supreme, gloating, bombastic attitude was painful even for Lewis admirers, of which I used to be one. Then, after the fight, there was supposed to be a rematch in December. Then Lewis started to mess around, saying that he was afraid that it wouldn't be "worth my while" to fight Klitschko, since "his eye all cut up like that and would give out after a round or two". Then, on seeing an interview 2 weeks after the fight, in which Klitscko was able to show that the plastic surgeon had repired the damage so that it was actually invisible on camera, he again agreed to fight Klitschko ONLY on the condition tthat K would trek over to London, England, and be extensively examined by HIS-Lewis's- expert eye doctor. K did this, and the eye was certified perfect. But the powers-that-be were never able to get Lewis back to the table. He kept K and the promoter's hanging around, and messing up their time-tables. THEN......Lo and behold, Klitschko fought Kirk Johnson, Lewis's ORIGINAL opponent, for whom K had substituted. This fight was on the same December date on which the Lewis-Klitschko re-match had been arranged for, and which Lewis reneged on. As we all know, Klischko chewed up and crushed Johnson in a ferocious round-and-a-half. Another few months of hot-and-cold Lewis. Eventually he announced his retirement, after having held up Klitschko's ambition to be World Champ, for nearly a year. THAT'S the real story about Lewis.

lewis was almost 38, Klitschko was 31, why should a shot Lewis comeback at almost 39? He promised nothing and eh by the way if you want to talk about holding other fighters back you just need to look at Vitali, due to this guy there wasnt a WBC title fight last year, he asserted he had the title shot gauranteed as emeritis champion and caused a long period of negotiating between Maskaev and Peter to accomodate him, then months later decides he doesnt want the fight and will have a tune up instead, he then pulls out of that, This is the guy that kept Rahman hanging around for a year when he kept cancelling fights against him then retired rather than face Rahman!

lol,,,, a "shot lewis" that had just looked his best in a one sided thrashing of tyson right before vitali. youre a real piece of work dude
Lewis didn't look at his best against a shot Tyson. Steward was yelling at Lewis to finish the fight early but he couldn't because of his broken hand.
his jab,,,speed and power was clearly as good if not better than in any of his previous fights. tyson simply showed a good chin and heart in that fight as lewis was giving him a beating
