Amir Khan, really what has this guy done since the Limond fight (where he was allowed 13 seconds to get up)?

Scott Lawton: This guy is poor! Even before the fight he was saying he has little chance of beating Khan.

Graham Earl: This guys punch resistance had completly gone. He was shot the second he came out of the ring with Katsidis.

St Claire: Super-Featherweight with no power and stands at 5 foot 4. Need I say any more?

He has done very little to convince me he is anything special. He is nowhere near world class!

That was just nonsense from Limond about the 13 seconds. Firstly when a person goes down, the referee first tells the other person to go to a corner and Limond counted that 2-3 seconds as part of the count.

Katsidis fought a guy who was 5-2 in his 20th pro fight. Khan is fighting guys like Earl and St.Claire just in his 15th and 16th pro fights.

Frank Warren is a master of making the public believe in false idols ie Naz, Hatton etc.

I know Khan is 21 and he may one day be world class but not just yet.

Katsidis's best fight was with Earl and he was put down himself in that one. His last fight against Czar Amonsot (18-3-1 (10 KO's) left Katsidis with a bloody mess. If a guy with 10 knockouts in 22 fights can do that to Katsidis, imagine what Khan will do to his face with his punches.

I agree. Katsidis is an exciting fighter but his credentials don't put him that far in front of Khan. If he can decisively beat an aging Casamayor then I might reconsider.

Some would say he beat Earl up and then stuck him in front of Khan for him to finish off.

It would be a touch reductionist, but some would say it.

You've never seen a knockdown where the referee did exactly that and then turned and began the count at 3?

Limond was grasping at straws, in truth, but still.
