I feel no pity for Campas. He's a grown man and knows how to defend himself. If he's worried about getting hit low, then you do what you have to make a guy not do so.

i agree completely if he would have mvoed his dman head he coulda been a legend but noooooo he wanna be a dumbazz and just stand there and also what ****ed him was that sometimes he just quit!!!!Im watching the Trinidad v. Campas fight and its been years since i seen this fight and damn, i'am amazed just how many low blows Trinidad throws and how dirty of a fighter he is. I guess when i was a fan of his i let **** slide but man watching the fight today, right now, im amazed at how dirty of a fighter he is. And damn, he does have great punch technique.
And in that same fight the ring anaylist said that Trinidad had to lose 3 and 1/2 pounds to make the 147 limit. People talk about Margarito or Mexican fighters in general as if they're the only ones that cut weight, where here you have Trinidad in his what 24 fight i think it was and he was already having weight problems.
What i ****en ending to the fight. I think if Campas would or could have moved his head as Chavez did in his career he would have been a truly great fighter. But i still consider him a great fighter people say Trinidad ended peoples careers after he fought them. This is a myth. Campas still became a defending Champion even after he lost to Trinidad and moved up in weight to win a title.
Respect to a warriror in Luis Ramon "Yory Boy" Campas.

He's not a dumbass. He didn't quit.
Mexican fighters, true Mexican fighter like him and others had that Mexican pride. You can read any old articles and they mention how you "have to kill a Mexican boxer to defeate him." I think one writer once wrote that that last true Mexican fight ended with Chavez but i belive Campas was there too.
He'd stop his own fights cause no one could every put him down. Campas can take a hit from a 50 pound brick and still stay standing. He had a great chin.Comment

I met Yori Boy Campas at a Shaun George fight right before he fought John Duddy. His comprehension of English is not very good at all. I went up to him and gave him my respects for being a great warrior and then all of a sudden people approached him like they knew him. He was so quiet sitting in a corner of the high school auditorium, you would've thought he worked there.
Two nights earlier I saw him on Telefutura giving an interview (in Spanish of course, I just happened to pass through) and he was wearing a Yankees flight jacket and light denim jeans. What was he wearing when I met him? The same Yankees jacket and jeans. Gotta love him for keeping it real.Comment
